Question 1

Why Hot Process?

Accepted Answer

The 2 main ways to make bar soap is cold and hot process. Cold process requires about 4-6 weeks of curing time. While all of our soaps use natural ingredients, you still need lye for a chemical reaction to make soap... soap! In cold process, the lye processes the oils and water over a longer period of time. In hot process soap, the lye reaction occurs almost completely during the cooking process. The curing time for hot process soap is about 1 day. Because of this, we can make our soap "on demand". We're not holding stock of finished bar soaps; we're not paying for space to store soap for 6 weeks at a time; we're not making soap in a scent or color we're not sure people will buy. It translates to a lower on average sale price, which we give to you.

Question 2

Liquid soaps

Accepted Answer

Liquid soaps are made with only the purest Tampa, FL water. We use 0 TDS (total dissolvable solids) providing a 2-3 year shelf life for our products. Our Signature series products swap the water for Aloe Vera juice for a premium silky smooth finish.

Question 3

Where are ingredients sourced from?

Accepted Answer

We make every effort to source our ingredients from USA companies and resellers. Unfortunately, not everything is made in the USA. Oils including olive, coconut, palm, castor, and shea butter are all sourced in the USA. Because we are hot process soap, mica powders are more vibrant than liquid colorants. Mica powders come from China. Essential oils also may come from China. We are continually on the search for more ingredients made in the USA and will update this FAQ as we can.

Question 4

Shipping & Returns

Accepted Answer

Shipping: We use UPS flat rate shipping for all orders. We're not telling you to order more soap, but if it fits in the same box, it costs the same price to ship it! We strive to get every order out the door within 48 hours. If there is a delay in shipping, we'll let you know via email. Please allow an extra day of processing over major USA holidays.

Returns: Put simply, this is a handmade product and as such, returns are not allowed. Please verify your order before submitting it. We try to ship every order as fast as we can so if you made a mistake, please contact us immediately.
